Passion–Healing–Growth

Do you ever feel like the system prevents you from engaging in the kind of healing work you know you’re capable of giving your clients?  Do you crave the freedom to practice your therapeutic skills in a setting free from the constraints of a top-heavy bureaucracy, the pain of low wages, and the burden of excessive paperwork?  Do you long to feel “at home” in an atmosphere of trust and support and mutual respect?

Since 2011, The Village Center for Holistic Therapy has been and will continue to be an independently owned private group practice that was designed in part to foster the evolution and growth of its healing practitioners. The Center was started by two clinicians with years of community system experience who knew there had to be a better way to both genuinely care for ourselves and provide the healing support we knew our clients deserved. Our focus from the start was to create an environment that fostered a work-life balance, a space designed to inspire our souls rather than crush them. Therapeutic work itself is extremely challenging and comes with the risk of therapist burnout, which is why finding a work space that genuinely nurtures your growth as a clinician is critical to your long term evolution as a healing practitioner.

We also knew we wanted a space where we not only taught clients the skills to improve their lives, but where we ourselves also practiced those same skills as part of our everyday work experience. Creating in-house yoga and meditation studios wasn’t just for the clients– these spaces are where we ourselves engage alongside our colleagues in the healing practices of mindfulness, meditation, and movement.

Almost every therapist we’ve known over the years has, at their core, an intuitive awareness of the kind of clinician they want to become, of the path they need to follow.  The passion to heal is why we entered the field in the first place, and that passion requires protection from the forces that work against it.

Eligible candidates will have an active license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania, and the skills and experience to practice independently within a group setting.  We are a supervision-focused group practice, providing at a minimum, monthly individual clinical supervision, as well as monthly large and small group supervision sessions.  We will provide you with all of the administrative support you’ll need to create a robust caseload tailored to your clinical areas of focus and to the client populations with which you work best.

We’d love to meet you and discuss your interest in the path we’ve created.  Please use the form below to start the conversation and upload your cover letter and resume.
