Moirin Reynolds, MA, NCC
National Certified Counselor
Pre-Licensed Counselor
At times, life is challenging. As multifaceted beings moving in complex situations we often seek purpose and connection in ways that are helpful and hurtful. Many of us were not taught how to understand and interact with ourselves and others. I view therapy as a way to learn about ourselves and our challenges so that we may grow. I seek to create a welcoming, non-judgmental, collaborative space to foster growth and healing. I encourage my clients to attend to their bodies, minds, strengths, values, and relationships to find multiple ways of healing and balance.
I received an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh East campus). Previously I received a BA in studio art from the University of Dallas, as well as doula training in Pittsburgh, and herbalism training in Michigan and Oregon. I am currently a Nationally Certified Counselor working towards full clinical licensure under supervision.
My experiences as a tender of trees and plants, a community wellness educator, and a birth doula all inform my practice. I use concepts from relational cultural therapy, mindfulness, parts work, and the natural world. I have experience working with life transitions, anxiety, relational difficulties, past sexual abuse, and grief/loss, from a trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming, sex positive perspective. I work with adults ages 18 and up. I believe in and support the liberation of all people from injustice and oppression. The work we do together will be led by your needs as the client and will change and grow as you do.
