“It’s never overreacting to ask for what you want and need.” ― Amy Poehler
Congratulate yourself on getting to this stage in your life and for seeking guidance. Life is tough and everyone needs some help every now and then. I consider it an honor to help individuals to find the balance that they are looking for. Therapy is difficult work but can provide you with a greater understanding of yourself and your relationships. We will be partnering together to help you to find meaning and value in your own life as well as to heal from the pressure and pain that you have experienced.
I graduated in 2000 from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Criminal Justice and obtained my MS in Professional Counseling from Carlow University in 2018. In between those degrees I worked with teens and adolescents in both a residential and academic environment and also provided crisis services to individuals of all ages.
My areas of expertise include: anxiety, body image, relationship issues, trauma, stress, divorce and other life transitions. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, kink affirming, body positive, sex positive, CNM/poly-affirming and trauma informed. I encourage and support diversity in all forms. My therapeutic approach is a blend of person-centered, motivational interviewing, and solution focused with authenticity and some humor thrown in while increasing awareness of the body. I prefer working with adults and teens 17 and older.
Every person has their own individual journey; I will meet you where you are to help you on a path to growth and healing.
