I view therapy not just as a way to address concerns or issues that one might have, but as an opportunity to better understand yourself as a whole. When we take the time to explore how we act, think, and feel, we are able to access new parts of ourselves and how we interact with others in our life. The process of therapy can be powerful and I can offer this opportunity for you to explore yourself and the things you want to change in your life in a setting that is safe, supportive, non-judgmental, and welcoming.

I focus on individual therapy and have experience working with trauma/PTSD, anxiety, and mood disorders. I am queer, neurodivergent, non-binary/Transmasc and have experience working with the following communities: LGBTQIA+, sex workers, body positive/HAES, open relationships/non-monogamy/polyamory, sex/kink positive, Deaf, Deafblind, and Hard of Hearing. I am fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and have been working to increase services for the deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing in the Pittsburgh area. As part of our holistic approach, I am able to incorporate mindfulness, meditation, and other techniques into the therapy sessions.

I attended the University of Pittsburgh from 1999-2003 where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in psychology. In fall 2005, I entered Gallaudet University to obtain my masters degree in Mental Health Counseling with a focus on working with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I graduated with honors from Gallaudet in May 2007 and obtained my counselor certification through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). I worked in community mental health since my graduation from Gallaudet University focusing on individual, group, and couples therapy. I have experience working in the fields of both mental health and substance abuse and received my License as Professional Counselor in 2009. I started working at the Village in early 2013 and came on full time in August 2014. I have worked in the mental health field for over 18 years and as a practicing therapist for 13 years.
