Brady Swanson
Pre-Licensed Counselor
Have you ever wondered if therapy could help you explore your identity more deeply or bring clarity to the relationships in your life? As a queer and nonbinary individual living in Pittsburgh, I know firsthand how transformative therapy can be, especially when it comes to embracing one’s authentic self and navigating life’s complexities. This personal experience fuels my passion for working with people who are on their own unique journeys of self-discovery, healing, and growth. My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that you are already enough, exactly as you are. I strive to create a safe, affirming, and inclusive space where you can feel supported and heard. In our work together, you can expect a warm and collaborative environment that encourages exploration, healing, and empowerment. My style is rooted in trauma-informed, person-centered care, and I aim to meet each client with compassion and respect.
I have experience supporting individuals living with anxiety, depression, and PTSD, as well as those who are neurodivergent, including people with ADHD and Autism. I have a special interest in working with clients around gender identity and expression, queer romantic and platonic relationships, ethical non-monogamy, and the experiences of asexual and aromantic individuals. I also support and have experience working with both youth and adults in the trans community. Creativity plays an important role in my work -- I often incorporate artistic expression into the therapeutic process, as well as mindfulness techniques such as meditation and somatic practices. These tools can be powerful ways to connect with yourself in the therapeutic space.
I’m originally from the Swisshelm Park neighborhood of Pittsburgh and completed my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Pittsburgh in 2025. It’s an honor to work with others in this community as we explore who we are and move toward meaningful change in our lives.
